Earl Medina is a Laredo, Texas, community leader and the Founder and President of Orgullo Laredo Youth and Safe Haven, a nonprofit organization focused on supporting youth and families through education, advocacy, prevention, and community engagement.
Through Orgullo Laredo Youth and Safe Haven, Medina has worked to create safer and more supportive environments for young people, with an emphasis on bullying prevention, mental health and suicide awareness, substance misuse and overdose prevention, youth leadership, and connecting families with community resources. He has helped organize community outreach events, educational initiatives, awareness campaigns, health fairs, and partnerships with local organizations and schools.
Medina’s community work centers on giving youth a voice, strengthening partnerships, reducing stigma and discrimination, and ensuring young people and families know they have access to supportive resources and safe spaces within the Laredo community.

Andy has worked directly with youth and families through community outreach events, educational presentations, prevention activities, and school-based programming. His experience includes facilitating Botvin LifeSkills Training, assisting with youth groups and advisory activities, coordinating community events, and connecting individuals and families with prevention resources.
He has completed training in Botvin LifeSkills and Adult Mental Health First Aid and has pursued additional training in Youth Mental Health First Aid. Andy is recognized for his involvement in community service and his ability to work collaboratively with youth, schools, organizations, and community partners.
His work reflects a commitment to youth development, prevention education, community engagement, and helping create healthier and safer environments for young people in the Laredo community.
